A small but powerful PHP editor with integrated PHP IDE for validating, debugging, navigating, and formatting code. It has a simple (but customizable) user interface. It auto-completes and closes used tags in code and validates PHP code with the Syntax Check function.
Rapid PHP 9.5 has been enhanced and now loads faster than Netbeans, for example. It has multiple-language support and one of its advantages over competitors is that it has syntax highlighting and code validation. Also, it is one of the few editors that accept Java script and CSS, besides PHP. Moreover, everything from toolbars, menus, and keyboard shortcuts, to syntax highlighting can be customized, which is another advantage.
Rapid PHP 2008 v9.5 has the following new features: now it automatically spots and fixes HTML errors referring to tag blocks and highlights missing brackets. Also, if you don't remember the tag or word, you can write its part and press Ctrl + J to display a list of snippet codes to complete. Additionally the code is grouped in blocks and can be hidden from view. A feature to clear all breakpoints has also been added. Also, developers improved the function of open any linked file from any place in the code with a click. Find-and-Replace text functions have also been enhanced offering better results.
